Luncheon to honor City employees

The public service of 117 City of San Angelo employees, with a combined 1,450 years of experience, will be honored at the annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13 at the McNease Convention Center. 

City offices, including the water billing office, will be closed that day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

The City will recognize: 

  • 39 employees celebrating five years
  • 31 employees celebrating 10 years
  • 18 employees celebrating 15 years
  • 17 employees celebrating 20 years
  • Seven employees celebrating 25 years
  • Four employees celebrating 30 years
  • One employee celebrating 40 years
  • 26 police officers celebrating a total of 290 years of service
  • 30 firefighters celebrating a total of 440 years of service 

Employees who have completed milestone anniversaries with the City in the last year will receive service awards. In years past, employees celebrating milestone anniversaries with the City received their awards at a separate celebration. This year, the honorees will receive their awards during the annual employee appreciation luncheon, which celebrates the hard work and loyalty of all the City’s approximately 900 employees.
