The mission of the Civic Events Division is to provide clean, comfortable facilities along with exceptional support to events in City venues.
Advertising in City facilities
Citywise Marketing, a local advertising agency, sells advertising opportunities in City facilities, including Foster Communications Coliseum, Convention Center, RiverStage, Airport, recreation centers and the Texas Bank Sports Complex. For more information, contact Citywise at 325-223-5928 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Naming rights policy
The City Council adopted an updated naming rights policy on June 1, 2010. Naming rights to City facilities are marketed by Citywise Marketing, a local advertising agency that also sells advertising in City venues on the City of San Angelo's behalf. For more information about naming rights, please contact Citywise at 325-223-5928 or email@example.com.
Only City-approved caterers may cater events at City facilities. Becoming a City-approved caterer involves completing an application and turning it in to the Civic Events Division at the McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Drive. Please call 325-653-9577 with questions.
All Caterers must pay the City 10% of the gross catering bill. Caterers often pass this cost to their customers. All rentals for dishes, table linens & linen napkins are paid to the City not the Caterer.
Sample insurance certificate
All events in City venues must provide insurance. Those who rent facilities are welcome to provide certificates of insurance through their own carriers. The language of any certificate that is provided must match the language of this sample certificate. Visit www.onebeaconentertainment.com to get a free quote for insurance. The Risk Management office is no longer ordering or purchasing event insurance for any rental venue, the client is now responsible for doing this on their own. For this and further questions, please call the city's Risk Management office at 325-657-4359.

Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial RiverStageCategories:
- Civic Events Venues
The Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial RiverStage is an outdoor amphitheater located on the banks of the Concho River at 16 E. Avenue A. The fan-shaped RiverStage incorporates the natural terrain of a 3-acre site into its design. Spectators can view the stage from the terraced hillside or from chairs set on a concrete slab directly in front of the stage.
The RiverStage has been host to such acts as bluesman B.B. King, Texas troubadour Willie Nelson, rocker Ted Nugent, and San Angelo's own Los Lonely Boys and Paula Deanda. The venue is also home to the San Angelo Symphony's annual July 3 Pops Concert and fireworks show, a free event that draws tens of thousands of people. Click on the image above for a photo gallery.
Despite its size and scenic views, the RiverStage's rental rates are affordable enough that it hosts many private events.
The stage house measures 3,700 square feet. More than one-third of this square footage is the stage itself, which measures at 1,325 square feet. The remaining square footage contains restrooms, dressing rooms, storage and stage equipment rooms.
From wingtip to wingtip, the stage measures 114 feet. Three sets of large doors are located in the wings on each side. When the doors are swung open, they serve as baffles for stage shows. When closed, the doors join with the movable back panel and roof to create a shell. These back panels can be left open giving the audience a view through the stage to a fountain in the river. Pivoting walls frame the stage creating an outstanding outdoor theater facility. The concrete area in front of the stage can accommodate 900 folding chairs while an additional 8,000 spectators can fit comfortably on the hillside
