Nutrition

Senior Services hosts a nutrition program that is open to all participants of the Santa Fe Crossing and Station 618 senior centers. The nutrition program is funded in part by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services through the Concho Valley Council of Goverments, Area Agency on Aging, the City of San Angelo, and participant donations.

The following requirements must be met to participate in the program:
  • Participants must be 60 years of age or older.
  • Required registration must be completed.

The cost per meal is a suggested $3 donation for program participants. Guests younger than 60 years of age are welcome at a cost of $5 per meal.

The nutrition program is available at Santa Fe Crossing senior center, 702 S. Chadbourne St., from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and at the Christian Village and Plaza Del Sol senior living facilities. Meals are not served or delivered on City holidays.

Prepared meals must meet one-third of the recommended dietary allowance. Menus are composed by a certified/registered nutritionist and are published each week in the San Angelo Standard-Times' Sunday edition and daily on the City of San Angelo-Public Information Facebook page. You can also view this month's menu here.
