Sample insurance certificate

All events in City venues must provide insurance. Those who rent facilities are welcome to provide certificates of insurance through their own carriers. The language of any certificate that is provided must match the language of this sample certificate. Lessees may also purchase insurance through the City's Risk Management Division. The cost will depend upon the size and nature of the event, including whether alcohol will be served. For more information, including rates, call 325-653-9577 or 325-657-4359.

Indoor public art display application and agreement

Those wishing to display artwork in the McNease Convention Center are encouraged to read the indoor public art display agreement, which details the process for doing so, and to complete the accompanying application.

8455 Country Club Rd., 2 acres. Reservations can be made through Civic Events at 325-653-9577.

Pecan Creek Pavilion offers a wonderful setting for private events, including weddings, parties, reunions and family gatherings. The pavilion is an enclosed, climate-controlled facility that sits on the banks of Lake Nasworthy at 8455 Country Club Road. It includes an indoor space capable of accommodating up to 180 people along with a full-service kitchen and private restrooms. Its back doors can be rolled up to allow open access to a large, covered back porch that faces the water.

Outside, the grounds sport a variety of amenities: a boat ramp, a huge barbecue grill, picnic tables, a playground with equipment, a sand volleyball court, a grass volleyball court, outdoor restrooms, and horseshoes and washer pits. For a photo gallery of the venue, click on the image above.

The rental rate structure is competitive and extremely affordable for private events.

Insurance costs depend upon the nature of the event, the number of attendees and whether alcohol is consumed. Uniformed security is required if an event involves the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The charge for security is $30 per hour with a four-hour minimum. That fee is paid directly to the officer at the conclusion of the event.

Reservations may be booked up to a year in advance. To book a date or for more information, call the Civic Events Division at 325-653-5487.
